28. Purchase and carry a notebook to jot ideas as they come

On my way to Germany, I had a four hour layover in San Francisco. Alone, exhausted and hungry, I had nothing more to do than amble, sit and eat. When that was accomplished and I still had hours to go, I lugged my massive carry-on and laptop through SFO until I spotted a bookstore. Heaven.

After my struggle at the airport in Honolulu, I had much I wanted to write. Of course, I had been silly when I packed and left my journal at home, leaving me with a restless pencil and nowhere to dictate.

So, my notebook is a classic moleskin with no reason to go wrong. Overpriced, uh, yes, but handy and useful no less.
